The Washington Ultimate Frisbee club was established in 1989 to promote the sport of Ultimate Frisbee among the UW community. The club team is registered with the University and holds practice several times a week. New players are always encouraged to come out and participate in practices and see what ultimate is all about! If you're interested in playing, email the captains and join our mailing list! During Fall Quarter, the club plays as one team and practices focus on the fundamentals of ultimate. We travel to two tournaments in the Fall: one in Burlington, WA and one at the University of Oregon in Eugene. Beginning Winter Quarter, we split into two teams. Our A-Team is a highly competitive team with a substantial level of commitment required. Our B-Team is more laid-back and is primarily for players either developing fundamental skills or unable to commit to the rigorous A-Team schedule. More information about the individual team goals and commitments can be found here. Throughout the Winter and Spring, both teams participate in college tournaments around the country, culminating in the UPA College Championship Series. In Winter and Spring 2007, we played tournaments in Las Vegas (NV), Austin (TX), Palo Alto (CA), Corvallis (OR), Tacoma (WA) and Burlington (WA). The tentative schedule for 2007-2008 is listed below.
